Ahoy there, all you Sippers and Quaffers… some news that will banish that frown and bring a smile to your iso-weary face… Orange Wine Festival 2020 is on for the entire month of October!
“Sacre bleu, j'en reviens pas!!”, I hear you say? C'est bon, ça va.
Indeed, you can but do one thing - turn your attention west, Central West that is, get your calendar out, work out how many days off you can get… and contemplate October in the beautiful city of Orange. You simply cannot allow 2020 to pass without being able to say to all your friends..."What?? You weren’t at the Orange Wine Festival this year…? Oh my God… it was amazing / astonishing / astounding / surprising / bewildering / stunning [insert your own preferred adjective here]".
You’ll be the envy of your friends and the dinner guest everyone is clamouring to invite, as you dazzle the assembled with tales of your October exploits in Orange - the Australian capital of cool climate wines.
Even better take along one of your favourite drops you picked up while in town and watch them lean forward with hushed gaze, as you evidence your now encyclopaedic knowledge of the winery, the grape, the conversation with the winemaker, the terroir, the masterclass you attended… and so much more!!

There's more than 80 planned events, including; the Orange Wine Show Tasting, Wine in the Vines, the Festival Night Market, a range of food and wine Masterclasses and a fantastic range of events run by local producers and restaurateurs.
Make sure you keep watch on the Orange 360 website as the calendar of events fills. Ignore any spurious and erroneous information you might find on the Interweb that says anything to the contrary - you have from the 1 October till the 1 November to visit.
What ever you decide to do… do not procrastinate - events are very popular and many are limited - so look through the 2020 event calendar as events are added and decide what you might like to do, get your friends organised, get somewhere to stay… and start planning.
